We have been home for over a week and have been remembering the many wonderful sights we enjoyed during our several tours during our Mediterranean cruise. We found the sights in Egypt to be amazing as we tried to imagine how such gigantic edifices and statues were constructed and the materials transported. Our tour guide, Nashaat Farag, was very helpful in giving a history and description of the several sites we visited. He had an excellent background in the historical facts which he presented in an understandable and interesting manner. He tried to ensure that we were able to visit and see the main highlights of the area which was difficult to do in the short time we had in Egypt – but he did cover a lot of territory with the help Yuseri (spelling?) our driver. Yuseri’s skill in driving through extremely congested traffic with the vehicle unscathed was remarkable and he was always waiting at the designated spot when we needed to move on.
We felt that we had a good overview of the history and sights in the Cairo area and were grateful for Nashaat and Useri taking good care of us.
The hotel was quite satisfactory and the dinner cruise interesting
